Ford Sierra XR4x4 (2.8 Cologne V6) - The first track car
While working at in the midlands I started to get interested in track days and signed up for one with other staff from my workplace (the event was organised by the Civil Service Motoring Association - CSMA)... of course I didn't have a track ready car at the time - I didn't fancy a front wheel drive car, so turned to Ford to rwd/4wd fun!
The car was the earlier XR4x4 - it was really very cheap for what it was, with the 150bhp/160lbft 2.8 Cologne engine - quite pokey, but nothing to set the world on fire with. It handled reasonably well for a car of it's size... but it just didn't feel right for me. The car lasted one event, I ran it for a few months, and then sold it on.
I still have the last image in this sequence hanging on my wall though :-)
