Wargames & Models

Most people seem to appreciate the level of skill it takes to cosntruct and paint all of these models, figures and scenery... but the consensus is split over actually playing with them!

I've written a few games myself, but these days I mainly paint for the fun of it and for a bit of relaxation.

About this site

I've never been a massive gamer; playing now and then, I tend to be more involved in the creative side of the hobby.

Below are links to the games I've written, with information and links to downloads, where available.

Games I've Written

Target:Earth: My biggest project yet. Target:Earth totals over 160 pages and is a detailed, skirmish level game that incorportates much finer detail than usually seen in typical SciFi wargames. Units have more stats (almost RPG-like) and forces have a greater deal of customisation. Think of it as more like the computer strategy game 'X-Com' than the tabletop game 'Warhammer 40k '. (Game type: skirmish, infantry/mecha/light arms, 6-15 figures per player, D10/D6 based). (Read More)

Target:Earth - Apocalypse: This is an addition to Target:Earth that adds addition rules for construction and use of heavy vehicles, aircraft, superweapons etc. (Game type: skirmish, combined arms, 6-20 figures per player, D10/D6 based). (Read More)

Target:Earth - AI Legions: An additional force to use in the original game, or in the Apocalypse addon. (Game type: additional forces). (Read More)

Target:Earth - Ion Trail: Not much on this one so far. The idea is that this game picks up a couple hundred years from the first one; the main players all have their own space fleets and combat is ship to ship using both fighters and capital ships. (Game type: hex based space combat, 3-20 ships per player, D10 based). (Read More)

Revenge of Cthulhu: Though this game was written more towards Pulp SciFi & Horror, it's rather tongue in cheek and can be played with various scenarios (explorers in deepest jungles uncovering tribes worshipping ancient evil, or swashbuckling rocketpack heroes fighting mad scientists). Less in-depth than my Target:Earth games, but with, I consider, some nice features I've not come across too often. (Game type: skirmish, mainly land-based, 8-30 figures per player, D10/D6 based).
