Bought late 2025 to use as a replacement screen for the earlier Thinkpad 240 I owned. Whilst the 240X is the better performing machine due to the 500MHz P3, and the 100MHz memory bus, the onboard audio is truly horrendous compared the extremely compatible ESS Solo-1 found in the 240.
As a result, the original 240 is by *far* the better retro gaming machine for DOS.
