This is my default page for new model kits. | <imgcaption mfr_box|Manufacturer box art.>{{:blog:models:yamato:dreadnought:dreadnought_box.jpg?600|}}</imgcaption> |

<imgcaption mfr_box|Manufacturer box art.>{{box.jpg|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption completed_a|Example of completed model.>{{image1.jpg|}}</imgcaption> | The Dreadnought kit represents the one of the main Earth battleship classes from the Yamato 2202 series (season 2 of the show). It's supposed to be a mass-produced battleship with similar (and improved) capabilities of the Yamato itself. The first of the class was called the Dreadnought (just like the real-world British ship), with subsequent models all retaining a D-prefixed name; //Devastation//, //Dominion//, //Diamond//, etc. |

Any other information about this box/set. | It builds to around 25cm in length when completed: |

| I originally wanted to find the [[:blog:models:yamato:dreadnought_mars|Dreadnought - Mars Defence Set]], which has two colour-changed variants of the kit, but it was long out of stock everywhere. |
| |
| This original kit includes a couple of LED modules to light up various parts of the model, plus a set of tiny fighters to display on the stand. |

<imgcaption chart|Colour chart from ...>{{image1.png?350|}}</imgcaption> | There's no specific Mr.Color paint sets for this kit, but the instructions use Mr.Color/Mr.Hobby paint codes. Again, these are fairly difficult to source in the UK, so I'll be trying to match to alternative Vallejo, AK or MIG colours to make it easier. |
