+This set contains the main UN Cosmo fleet ships as seen in the opening episode of Space Battleship Yamato 2199 - which took a heavy beating to distract the attacking Garmillas fleet from the real intention (to prepare the Yamato for launch).
+The size of models included is on the smaller side, compared to many of the other 1/1000 scale releases - it feels a little cheap with just one small model each of the UN cruiser and destroyers, for example; surely it wouldn't have cost much more to include either a second example of each?

As a bonus, not pictured, is one of the old (purple) Garmillas Astro Carriers - a fairly simple, none-scale-matching kit, but still a nice inclusion.

In addition, most of the [[blog:models:yamato:index#paint_list|original paint sets]] are bespoke to the line and are out of production. The Cosmo Navy Combined Set #1 largely uses colours YC04, YC05 and YC06 from paint set CS882:
