Figures are molded nicely and the details are pretty good. They are slightly on the large size - somewhat chunkier than typical 1:72 figures; though fortunately they are all kneeling or crouched so this is not a major issue in practice. <imgcaption parts_3|Two identical parts frames.>{{:blog:models:6pdr_anti_tank:img20240825155830.jpg?300|}}</imgcaption> ==== In Progress Images ==== The kit is quite simple - only around 8 parts for the gun, and all except one figure is a single casting (one, //supposed to be firing the gun//, has arms which can be glued in place). As a result I haven't bothered doing a normal assembly series of photos, just a few of the parts cut out and assembled: <imgcaption guns_assembled|Both anti-tank guns assembled.>{{:blog:models:6pdr_anti_tank:img20250503154022.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> Since there are two identical sprues includes, there are doubles of each figure: * 2x Accessing ammunition box * 2x Handling a shell * 2x Spotting, with binoculars in hand * 2x Firing (separate arms) In the images below I've put a [[:blog:military:models_british_infantry_44_45|1:72 Late War British Infantry figure]]. The anti-tank gun crew are slightly bigger, but it's not too dissimilar to be an issue - especially since they are not going to be placed directly next to each other. <imgcaption figures_1|Back row; 2x Opening ammo box, 2x Handling a shell, 1:72 Infantry.>{{:blog:models:6pdr_anti_tank:img20250503154201.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption figures_2|Front row: 2x Firing pose, 2x Spotter poses.>{{:blog:models:6pdr_anti_tank:img20250503154208.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption gun_on_hill|One anti-tank gun placed on scenery to test for size/scale.>{{:blog:models:6pdr_anti_tank:img20250502191805.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> ==== Finished Images ==== blog/military/models_6pdr_crew.txt Last modified: 2025/05/05 15:07by john
