It's a fairly simple kit to go together - though I deviated from the instructions by leaving out the glass panels for the cab; these can only be installed before the top of the cab is added, so would make masking a pain. Instead I'll paint the entire truck first, then glue the windows in and then attach the top of the cab. The rear doors are glued open, since the truck will be refuelling aircraft in the display. {{:blog:models:academy_fuel_truck:img20251212182446.jpg?500|}} {{:blog:models:academy_fuel_truck:img20251213101119.jpg?500|}} I decided **not** to use the included //schwimmwagen//, as it just looked far too small next to any of the 1:72 figures that would be displayed around or //in// it. It seems more like a 1:87 part... there is **no way** any of the seated 1:72 figures I have will fit in it. **[December 26th 2025]** Assembled and painted, but not yet detailed or weathered: {{:blog:models:academy_fuel_truck:img20251213175734.jpg?400|}} {{:blog:models:academy_fuel_truck:img20251226104815.jpg?400|}} {{:blog:models:academy_fuel_truck:img20251226104822.jpg?400|}} {{:blog:models:academy_fuel_truck:img20251226104829.jpg?400|}} {{:blog:models:academy_fuel_truck:img20251226104837.jpg?400|}} {{:blog:models:academy_fuel_truck:img20251226104849.jpg?400|}} {{:blog:models:academy_fuel_truck:img20251226111345.jpg?400|}} ==== Finished Images ==== ---- [[:blog:models:military:index|Back to Military models index]] blog/military/models_fuel_truck.txt Last modified: 2025/12/26 11:38by john
