This is a //much// nicer model than the [[blog:military:models_me_262|1:72 Revell Me262]] kit. I also bought a colour photo-etch detail set from Eduard, which includes realistic cockpit instrumentation and controls, as well as upgraded details for other areas: <imgcaption photoetch|Eduard colour photo-etch part SS600.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:rss600.jpg?400|}}</imgcaption> Unfortunately, at this time (2025) the photo-etch part is discontinued, so only available as old stock. ---- ==== Paints ==== === Colour Chart === <imgcaption chart|Colour chart from ...>{{image1.png?350|}}</imgcaption> * Sourced from: === Paints Used === ^ Section ^ Recommended Colour ^ Selected Colour ^ Notes ^ ==== Box Contents ==== === Box === <imgcaption box|Box>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250624085421.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> === Instructions / assembly information === <imgcaption manual_1|Instruction manual.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250624085450.jpg?220|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption manual_2|Instruction manual.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250624085502.jpg?400|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption manual_3|Instruction manual.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250624085514.jpg?400|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption manual_4|Instruction manual.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250624085524.jpg?400|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption manual_5|Instruction manual.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250624085544.jpg?400|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption manual_6|Instruction manual.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250624085605.jpg?400|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption manual_7|Instruction manual.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250624085612.jpg?400|}}</imgcaption> === Parts === <imgcaption parts_1|Lower wing halves and engines.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250617114322.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption parts_2|Upper wing halves and tail.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250617114352.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption parts_3|Fueselage body.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250617114408.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption parts_4|Clear canopy.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250617114448.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> The canopy part is the only thing I am "eurgh" about with the kit - unfortunately the front of the canopy forms a large part of the upper panel of the nose; i.e. there's a big clear part to paint the same as the nose. === Decals === <imgcaption decals_1|Decals.>{{:blog:models:airfix_me262a1a:img20250617114438.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> ==== In Progress Images ==== ==== Finished Images ==== ---- [[:blog:models:military:index|Back to Military models index]] blog/military/models_me_262_airfix.txt Last modified: 2025/06/24 09:17by john
