It is shown in the first episode launching strike fighters towards the UN base on earth, but it ultimately shot down by the (still hidden) Yamato. This is a really substantial kit when complete. The kit includes the Pormelia carrier, plus 2 to-scale DWG-229 //Melanca// strike fighters as shown in the TV show. Also included is a larger, non-scale version of a single //Melanca// fighter (example seen in the images below). Close up images of the completed models: <imgcaption completed_b|Example of completed carrier.>{{:blog:models:yamato:pormelia:712t77qylul._uf894_1000_ql80_.jpg?500|}}</imgcaption> <imgcaption completed_c|Close of example completed non-scale fighter.>{{:blog:models:yamato:pormelia:s-l1200.jpg?600|}}</imgcaption> Sorry, I don't have any example images of the completed 1/1000 fighters. We will have to wait until I've built and painted my own kit. ---- ==== Paints ==== === Colour Chart === <imgcaption chart|Colour chart from mech9.com>{{:blog:models:yamato:pormelia:pormelia_colour_chart.png?700|}}</imgcaption> * Sourced from: https://www.mech9.com/2024/01/bandai-11000-pormelia-class-astro.html === Paints Used === The suggested paints for the [[:blog:models:yamato:index|Space Battleship Yamato 2199 / 2202]] series of kits are from Gunze / GSI Creos / Mr Color range, which are hard to source in the UK.
