This was bought to go in a [[blog:models:luftwaffe_latewar_display|second WWII German aircraft diorama]], specifically for //late war jet and rocket powered aircraft//, [[blog:models:luftwaffe_display|unlike my first Luftwaffe display]] of piston-engined aircraft. This is a //much// nicer model than the [[blog:military:models_me_262|1:72 Revell Me262]] kit.

I also bought a colour photo-etch detail set from Eduard, which includes realistic cockpit instrumentation and controls, as well as upgraded details for other areas:

Unfortunately, at this time (2025) the photo-etch part is discontinued, so only available as old stock.

The canopy part is the only thing I am "eurgh" about with the kit - unfortunately the front of the canopy forms a large part of the upper panel of the nose; i.e. there's a big clear part to paint the same as the nose.
