Flash Memory Benchmarks
Because I've got a load of different type of flash memory cards in my spares box, I maintain a spreadsheet and performance data list for them all.
Compact Flash
Canon FC-8M 8MB
Disk benchmark does not complete.
Output from hdparm -t
Timing buffered disk reads: 2 MB in 23.81 seconds = 86.00 kB/sec
First card I owned, from a Canon Powershot 2Mpix camera.
Delkin 511MB
Integral 64MB
Disk benchmark does not complete.
Output from hdparm -t
Timing buffered disk reads: 2 MB in 22.76 seconds = 89.99 kB/sec
I suspect this one is virtually dead.

Excellent performance, but what is up with the write performance fluctuation? Does this thing have a SLC buffer that is getting flushed every so many megabytes?
