Bought this as part of a set with several other very old Arii Macross ship kits back in the early 2000's and never got around to building it.

This kit also came with a figure of Quamzin Kravshera, one of the antagonists of the original Macross TV show:
Assembly
Assembly process:
It's a very simple model but goes together easily. Whilst it is clearly a design from a long time ago, due to the presence of a recess around the seam of the two halves, there isn't really any filling/sanding to do beyond a little bit on the rear engine/thruster section, but it's very minor.
Here it is complete (minus the grey external modules - which will be painted seperately), glued to stand in order to attach the very small antenna/sensor parts. Next up will be priming and pre-shading:

Primed:
Pre-shaded main panel lines + recess line:
Main green hull colour (and black recess) added:
White external tanks added:
Details added to various panels, almost ready for gloss varnish and then decals and panel lines/weathering:
Decals & Panel Lines
Gloss coat sprayed and then the original waterslide decals applied. I didn't use all of them, as it seemed as though it would be too much:
Panel line ink:
Next will be some weathering effects and then a final layer of matt varnish.
