Rather than put completed models and figures into boxes, or line them up on shelves, I'm recently (2024+) trying to design displays or dioramas where they can be displayed to make best use of them.
I've completed a small number of displays so far, though the actual figures and models that are due to go on them are also in various states of completion!
These pages have recently been changed or updated in the Displays section:
Dwarven mine scene - This displays all of my Rackham 'Dwarves of Tir-Na-Bor' figures I have collected and painted.
Eldar Forest Display - This is to display some of my old and new Warhammer 40K Eldar figures which I decided to paint after 20+ years…
Ophidian desert scene - This displays all of my Rackham 'Ophidian Alliance' figures I have collected and painted.
The Fantasy Ruins display is to display my Rackham 'Griffins' figures I have collected and painted. Not yet started, but will be a smaller, half-width scenery tile much like the Fantasy Desert scene.
Dirz sewer scene - This display is essentially complete, minus the few remaining Rackham 'Scorpions of Dirz' figures I have collected and painted. The display itself is designed to be modular and re-configurable in layout.
Space Marines defending against invading Chaos Marines - This display has a small force of Dark Angel Marines defending against a horde of Nurgle Chaos Marines and daemons.
WW2 German Airfield display - This is a display built to accommodate a small number of 1/72 scale German fighter planes (BF109, FW190 and Me410), some support vehicles and ground staff.
This is a diorama I am building for display of late-war German aircraft; mostly the experimental jet and rocket powered models. The upper (ground) level is a short runway/taxiway section leading to a bunker entrance embedded under a hill. The lower level is a maintenance hangar for the advanced aircraft, including a short rail section for delivery of parts and supplies.
WW2 French countryside ambush - This is a display being planned of Allied forces ambushing a German armoured column in the French countryside during WWII. Figures and models are 1:72 scale, so slightly smaller than most of my usual displays.
