This vehicle set was bought to be used as part of my WWII German airfield diorama. The fuel truck will be refuelling one of the parked fighters, whilst the car will be entering the airfield via the checkpoint.

[December 2025] Started building the basic sub-components. It's a fairly simple kit to go together - though I deviated from the instructions by leaving out the glass panels for the cab; these can only be installed before the top of the cab is added, so would make masking a pain. Instead I'll paint the entire truck first, then glue the windows in and then attach the top of the cab.

The rear doors are glued open, since the truck will be refuelling aircraft in the display.

I decided not to use the included schwimmwagen, as it just looked far too small next to any of the 1:72 figures that would be displayed around or in it. It seems more like a 1:87 part… there is no way any of the seated 1:72 figures I have will fit in it.
