This kit of a late war German jet fighter, developed under the emergency fighter program was bought to go in my second Luftwaffe diorama, for late-war jet and rocket aircraft.
There aren't many options for the He 162 'Sparrow', there is this one from Special Hobby (also released as SH72475 in alternative (i.e. captured) marking schemes), plus several from AZ, Revell and Dragon (all from around 2000 or earlier).
I also bought a colour photo-etch detail set from Eduard for the cockpit and other areas:

Quite unusual to have a detail set like this for such a relatively obscure kit like the Special Hobby He 162.
