This Hobby 2000 Me163 kit is a re-release of an earlier Academy kit originally released in 2000. It includes extras not in the original Academy release such as a canopy mask set and several more decal marking schemes.

In addition, I also bought a colour photo-etch detail set from Eduard.com, containing enhanced cockpit and exterior details over the plastic parts included in the kit.

Since the original WWII airfield display turned out so well, I was inspired to create another display shelf specifically for late-war German jet and rocket aircraft.
