One of the four Garmillas space carrier models from the Yamato 2199 series. There are two other similar carriers to this one - the green "Balgray", and the purple "Lambea", both of which are more or less identical (virtually the same parts except flight deck designs and colours) - other than the fighters they carry. There's also the combination battleship/carrier "Darold".

The kit includes:

With every variation of carrier-based fighter included, you could model the Schderg with any combination of aircraft loadout.

Also included is a larger, non-scale version of one of the Doshira torpedo bombers to display alongside - it really is quite a large 'little' model. Whilst it is supposed to be around 30 metres in length in reality (compared to 18 metres for the others fighters) it's produced in a scale that actually makes it almost as big as the Garmillas Kelkapia-class high speed cruiser.

Just like the Balgray and Lambea; this is a big kit when complete - almost 16 inches long!

Paints Used

The suggested paints for the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 / 2202 series of kits are from Gunze / GSI Creos / Mr Color range, which are hard to source in the UK. In addition, most of the original paint sets are bespoke to the line and are out of production. For the Schderg, the main recommended colours is YC27 from set CS889:
