This kit represents the Yamato from the later season(s) of the reboot TV series. It can be built in one of two variations: 2205 or 3199 - these correspond to earlier or later in the fourth series of the show.

The kit includes 4 tiny little fighters to be placed on the display stand.

I bought this kit as I couldn't source the earlier Yamato 2202 model.


Colour Chart

For colours, I just referred to the earlier 2199 / 2202 colours, as they're largely the same throughout the TV series.

Paints Used

Most of the paint colours reccomended for the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 / 2202 series of kits are from Gunze / GSI Creos / Mr Color range, which are hard to source in the UK. In addition, most of the original paint sets are bespoke to the line and are out of production:
