+**Assembly**
 Although these are old kits, most of the others that I've built have gone together quite easily - yes some seams that need filling, but nothing major. This, on the other hand, really reminded me of how far we have come in terms of scale model design. The smaller sub-ship (the front part of the model) is around 6 parts and presented a bit of a challenge to line everything up to glue... it isn't //quite// the correct shape.
 Fortunately the bits that look the worst are actually going to be 'hidden' inside the rear of the ship, as I don't intend to display these kits seperated very often.

+Front and rear ships connected. It's //okay//, I guess, but the technology of the time just doesn't lend itself to a nicely fitting, slick design. It definitely would have worked better as a single piece without the docking gimmick:
