Welcome to the blog section of my website. Here you'll find my mostly useless information on various retro gaming computers and consoles and a few other hobbies…
Some useful shortcuts:
- Video Game database - Online database of all my computers, consoles and games.
- Home Power Monitor - Electrical grid monitoring reports.
- Tech stuff - Retro gaming and computers, old electronics, network installers for Unix-like systems.
- Model making - Scale model making, sci-fi; Gundam, Macross, Maschinen Krieger…
- Miniatures - Miniatures painting.
- Car stuff - Rebuilds, projects and previous cars.
- Personal projects - Days out, DIY jobs, other unsorted stuff…
- Digital Photography - My very amateur attempts at digital photography.

Miniatures & Painting - G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T
Mainly just my collection of rule books for this gaming system.
Miniatures & Painting - Harlequin Miniatures: Doctor Who Invasion Earth
Tabletop game and associated models. Originally produced by Harlequin Miniatures, the rights to produce these have transferred over the years to various parties. The last I knew of, it was Black Tree Design (US and UK versions exist) that still produced the models.
Miniatures & Painting - Agents of Gaming: Turning Point
Bought this ruleset when it was first released and it really never got off the ground; the rules were very difficult to understand and full of errors, the 'manual' was distributed as a set of b&w prints that you had to bind yourself, and the miniatures seemed to take forever to come out (and weren't great).
Here as a curiosity, since I never got in to it:
Miniatures & Painting - FASA: Crimson Skies
The original tabletop air combat game as published by FASA. Not to be confused with the later iteration of the game by Wizkids which was a 'collectible' game. It also spawned a flight combat game on the PC, and later a more arcade-combat style game on the original Xbox:
Miniatures were produced by Ral Partha, and are still available from Ral Partha Europe, along with most of the expansion books. The original boxed game is quite hard to find.
Miniatures & Painting - FASA: Renegade Legion Centurion
Renegade Legion Centurion was one of a linked-set of games (the others being Interceptor for fighter combat, Leviathan for capital ship combat, Prefect for large-scale/high-level strategy) produced by FASA in the late 1980's to mid 1990's. Several were succesfully translated to computer games later:
FASA didn't make their own models, instead sub-contracting the production to C-in-C who still have the license today. Most models were cast in metal, but there are two box-set of plastic models available.
